This product is certified according to DIN 13432 and is therefore considered “biodegradable”. According to DIN 13432, the starting material for the product decomposes to water, carbon dioxide and biomass by more than 90% after a set time under defined temperature, oxygen and humidity conditions in the presence of microorganisms or fungi. A composting time of 10 weeks is used to test biodegradability*.

This product has been awarded the “NordicSwan Ecolabel” certificate. The Nordic Ecolabel corresponds to Type I according to DIN EN ISO 14024: 2018-06: Environmental labels and declarations - Environmental labeling Type I - Principles and procedures. The criteria are reviewed every three to five years and revised if necessary. The impact of a product on the environment is assessed over its entire life cycle, from raw materials to recycling. Products with "OK Compost" logos for industry and household are certified as compostable by an independent third-party organization. This means that the products meet the requirements of EN 13432 (2000), NF T51-800 (2015), ASTM D6868 (2017) and CAN/BNQ 0017-088 (2010). Heavy metals and fluorine content are well below the maximum values ​​required by the following standards.
